Guy Lives When NYC Subway Train Rolls Over Him

DailyMail: A Bronx man is lucky to be alive after being run over Saturday morning by a subway train. Ralph Mercado, 55, fell onto the northbound tracks just after 11.30am Saturday at Union Square just before an R train pulled into the station. He survived with barely a scratch even though the train rolled directly over him. Mr Mercado was able to roll into the trench between the tracks, which gave him just enough space to evade being crushed by the train. Mr Mercado was soon pulled to safety with only a bruised hand, according to NBC New York. He told officers he jumped down to help a woman who fell, according to the Post, but witnesses told the paper there was no one else on the tracks. The lucky-to-be-alive man was taken to Bellevue Hospital for a psychological evaluation. A total of 145 people have been struck by trains this year in New York. Of those, 52 have died.

Russian Shoots Guy In Face On Subway; Just Another Day In Russia

DailyMail: A security camera has captured a suspected racist shooting on the Moscow metro as two men armed with handguns attacked a dark-skinned passenger. Two men sit on the underground train in the Russian capital when a fellow passenger travelling in the same carriage attracts their attention. One of the attackers nods to the other, whispers something, and then both draw guns in the vicious assault which was caught on footage obtained by Life News, a major Russian media outlet. The younger one uses a ‘traumatic hand gun’ to shoot into the abdomen of Khashim Latipov, 30, from Dagestan, a region in the Caucasus region of southern Russia. He kicks him and shoots again, putting the gun at the man’s head, as other passengers flee to the far end of the carriage. The two men then turn their backs on the victim but keep threatening their victim with guns until they flee the train at Nagornaya station. Faces of both attackers are caught by the security camera in the November 17 incident. Miraculously, Lapitov survived the attack but is seriously wounded. ‘The IDs of the shooters are not known yet, we are searching for them,’ a law enforcement source told Life News. ‘The victim was taken to the hospital, with one bullet in his jaw and serious damage to his face.’

 

Yea those passengers sure did look terrified. Couldn’t be more casual as if this happens twice a day. And what the hell is a ‘traumatic hand gun’ where you can shoot someone and they don’t die? I need me one of those.

The Sexual Assault Creeper In The NYC Subway Story Is Weird

Gothamist: The police have released a photograph of a man accused of a sexual assault in a midtown Manhattan subway station on Sunday, in hopes that the public can identify him. According to the NYPD, a 19-year-old man was riding a downtown D train from West 155th Street and 8th Avenue at 11:45 a.m. When he sat down, the suspect was “standing across from him, touching his groin area over his clothing.” The police said the suspect approached the victim and directed him to exit the train with him at Columbus Circle-59th Street. They boarded another train to the West 50th C/E station, where the suspect led the victim to the north end of the downtown platform and forced him to perform a criminal sex act. The suspect then stole the victim’s backpack and fled in an arriving downtown train. The victim also got on the train, retrieved his backpack, took a photograph of the suspect with his cellphone and then left the train. The suspect is described as a man in his 30s, about 6′, 190 pounds and wearing a grey jacket, beige pants and a black knit hat. I’ve read this story 3 times now and does anyone else find it bizarre? So some guy is sitting on the train rubbing his dick and tells you to get off the train–so you do?? Never mentions anything about him having a weapon or being threatening but he walks you to another train where you get on with him and then proceed to follow him to the end of the platform for a handie/beej? THEN, he steals your backpack and gets onto another train where you follow him and not only take the backpack back, but you snap a picture of the guy as he falls asleep a couple minutes later with you standing next to him? I’m not saying this didn’t happen and obviously this guy needs to get caught, but there are a lot of holes in this story. I would love to hear the other guy’s version.

You know what the sad part about this is? The line for the real MTA machine would still be 20 people deep because that’s the way Americans are. Fat, selfish, lazy assholes who in almost 2014, expect everything to get done for them without having to lift a finger. Plus it’s NYC so I’m sure the ticket booth would demand at least 50 squats just because. Good luck getting people like this guy to do 5 squats without their knees snapping.
